SlideShare

As I was looking up information on Wikis I found this great website. http://www.slideshare.net/ It is all different slide shows that people have created. You can download them and use them on your own. I was playing on it for a while and there is so much different things you can find on there. It is really cool. You can also upload your slideshow to show others. For example if you have your students create a senior exit slide show they can upload it and share it with family and friends. You can also have student upload different slideshow projects they create. This will show them the power of the web and how collaboration can really be cool.

That is a fun site. I was looking at it earlier! There is so much great information out there. I hope we can be creative with our Wiki. I haven't seen a rubric on it so maybe the Wiki is whatever we envision. Sheila is looking up info on the history of Wikis in Education, I am going through sites looking at info too. I would like to share examples on how Wikis are currently being used in education. If the weather gets bad enough,I might have plenty of time tomorrow to get a lot done on it.

Thanks for the site! This is an awesome resource. I always known that there were things available on the internet, but I never knew that there were so many things that are free AND legitimate. This is one of many sites that I will continue to visit in the future.
